Though waiting on the floor in Lansing wasn't the greatest, I have nothing but good things to say about Korean Air. The flight from Chicago to Seoul/Incheon was the most pleasant flying experience I have had. The seats were a little larger than the average coach seat, and everyone got a pillow, blanket, and bottled water on their seat. Each seat also had its own entertainment center to watch movies, TV shows, play games, and listen to music. There were a lot of new movies on there like Star Trek, I Love You Man, Coraline, and Monsters vs Aliens. So I was happy with that. We also had 2 meals during the flight - one American style and one Korean style. I ate Bibimbap and Italian Chicken - both served with white rice. So the flight was long and cumbersome, but much easier to deal with because of Korean Air.
However, little did I know, once we arrived in Incheon, we had to take a 4 hour bus ride to the college in which the orientation is located. Now, I know that the drivers in Korea are not the best, and by Korean standards this bus driver was probably great - BUT - after such a long journey already, sitting on a bus that violently swerved every 30 seconds was almost unbearable. I was so car sick and tired! I was so glad to be on solid land after that. We got checked into our rooms at about 10pm and so I worshiped the shower and slept on by park bench of a bed feeling like I was at a four star hotel.
